New Four Seasons expansion valve.  This is a factory style expansion valve for FACTORY installed A/C with a POA valve (the large tube on the evaporator).  This is a thermal valve (TXV), and has 2 ports, 1 which threads into the POA port and 1 which straps to the accumulator outlet.  This valve is preset for R134A.  If retrofitting your system from R12 to R134A, you will need to have your POA valve calibrated for R134A or the POA valve will not operate properly. Fits the following:

67-73 Firebird/Trans Am (all models w/ R134A conversion)

NOTE : Accumulators, driers and valves are not returnable once the sealed bag has been opened. Please verify port orientation in the photos prior to ordering.

TECH TIP : A typical faulty expansion valve may cause a low side to be zero or negative (stuck closed) or a high low side (stuck open).  However, a faulty POA valve will also have the same symptoms.  Our staff is ASE certified, so if you have questions, please ask.
