92-97 LT1 Corvette Camaro Trans Am H20 Water Pump Drive Shaft Block Bearing

New Precision Bearing water pump driveshaft bearing for all 92-97 LT1 engines. This bearing is pressed on the driveshaft assembly. Fits the following:

92-96 LT1/LT4 Corvette
93-97 LT1 Camaro Z28, SS
93-97 LT1 Firebird Formula, Trans Am, Firehawk
94-96 LT1 Impala SS

TECH NOTE : The removal and installation of this bearing is press fit. That means the bearing will be slightly smaller ID and slightly larger OD to stay in place, and since the original bearing is pressed on, and will require a bearing puller to remove. The replacement bearing is also press fit, and will require either a press or adequate vice to press on the new bearing. When pressing on the new bearing, ensure to press ONLY on the inner bearing sleeve and press until it's in the original location. Pressing on the outer bearing seal will damage the bearing.There is also a special factory tool to install the assembly into the block. Most people don't have the tool, so it is suggested to use longer bolts through the retainer plate and SLOWLY tighten each bolt, alternating each bolt every full rotation until the plate is seated. Then replace with factory bolts. If you tap on the shaft, you will either damage the shaft or damage the bearing. If you have any questions, please contact us as we have replaced many of these units.
