Universal Heads On Engine Camshaft Cam 9" Degree Wheel Kit w/ Dial Indicator

New ProForm universal camshaft degree kit. This kit is what you would use to find out exactly where your camshaft is relative to top dead center, when you want to advance or retard your cam. This is a beginner's kit, and includes a 9" degree wheel, dial indicator and mounting bracket, 2 valve check springs and a top dead center tool (14mm). Basically, the degree wheel bolts to the crankshaft, you will set cylinder #1 on TDC, you bolt the pointer to the block or head, attach the dial indicator to your valve, and rotate the motor according to your camshaft spec card to verify the degrees it is opening and then you can determine if you need to advance or retard the cam timing based on your findings or advance or retard the cam timing based on what you are accomplishing (low end torque power or more higher RPM power). You can also use the dial indicator and the checker springs to determine your PTV (Piston to valve) clearance. This kit is designed for degreeing a camshaft with the heads on. You can still use this kit to degree the cam with the heads off, but you will need to use a cylinder block piston stop instead,which is not included, but available separately.
